Ancestors in Training: An Abọ̀rìṣà’s Guide to Lineage Work, Healing Praxis, and Black Diasporic Memory is a book that explores how we inherit, embody, and transform ancestral legacies in a world shaped by colonialism, displacement, and resistance. Blending the author’s experiences, historical inquiry, and creative practice, the book invites readers to regard intergenerational healing as a sacred and necessary act. Through storytelling, archival memory, and contemporary applications, the book guides readers in reclaiming a relationship with nature, their ancestors, and one another - recognizing that we, too, are future ancestors in training.

This project is rooted in the author's commitment to intergenerational healing as a sacred and necessary act, by staying true to the values at the heart of AIT: we all have ancestors, we all need community, and we are all part of nature. The book is written for educators and cultural workers, those seeking liberation from a spiritual perspective, folks hoping to reclaim ancestral healing and wisdom within their lineage, and, ultimately, anyone who resonates with the invitation to embody how they want to be remembered through their daily actions.

The book arrives on shelves on January 12th, 2027!
